A Study of the Will Of God in Gospel of John

John 1:13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 4:34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.

John 5:21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will.

John 5:30 “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.

John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.

John 6:39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.

John 6:40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

John 7:17 If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority.

* John 8:44 (A reference to the wrong kind of will) You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 9:31 We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him.

John 21:22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!”
