When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.
(Luke 9:51 )
Jesus knows at this point what is to come in Jerusalem. He is going to suffer, to be rejected and to die on a cross meant for criminals. Yet, he didn't shine away from the prospect of suffering. Why?
We are empowered to suffer as the Lord does. This is to accomplish God's purpose for us for as long as we are on earth.
Everything does work out for good - our good.
