Matthew 1:3

and Judah the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar, and Perez the father
of Hezron, and Hezron the father of Ram,

Tamar did wrong with Judah; yet God uses their family line to extend
God's kingdom. Jesus was born through this line. His kingdom purposes
were accomplished through sins, suffering and social injustice. What
can we learn from the episode of Tamar and Judah?

1. There are plenty of women like Tamar today living on the borders of
desperation. A group as such would be the single mothers. How is the
church helping these mothers?

2. No vessel is useless for God. Do we see an opportunity in the worst
situations and actually see God working through those situations?
Unplanned pregnancies, divorces, abuse, terrorism, economic crisis,
racial divides, even schism - the soveriegn God glorifies through
these dire situations.
